[Summary description] Heat treatment of straight seam elbows refers to the process of heating, insulating and cooling solid metals or alloys in an appropriate manner to obtain the desired structure and properties.

[Summary description] Heat treatment of straight seam elbows refers to the process of heating, insulating and cooling solid metals or alloys in an appropriate manner to obtain the desired structure and properties.

The straight seam elbow heat treatment process is widely used in the machinery manufacturing industry. It can improve the performance of parts, realize the full potential of steel, and extend the life of parts. In addition, heat treatment can also improve the machining performance of the workpiece, improve the machining quality, and reduce tool wear. Therefore, it occupies a very important position in the machinery manufacturing industry.

Steel is the most widely used metallic material for heat treatment in metal and alloy products.

The straight seam elbow heat treatment process is widely used in the machinery manufacturing industry. In addition, heat treatment can also improve the machining performance of the workpiece, improve the machining quality, and reduce tool wear. Therefore, it occupies a very important position in the machinery manufacturing industry.

Steel is the most widely used metallic material for heat treatment in metal and alloy products. There are five heat treatment methods for steel: annealing, normalizing, quenching, tempering and surface heat treatment.

Although there are many heat treatment methods for straight seam elbows, any heat treatment process consists of three stages: heating, holding and cooling.

Annealing and Normalization

(l) Annealing.

The heat treatment process of heating steel to the proper temperature and holding it for a certain period of time and then cooling it slowly (usually in a furnace) is called annealing.

(2) Normalization.

The heat treatment process of heating steel or steel parts above Ao1 or (Accm) 30-50°C for an appropriate time and then cooling in still air is called normalizing.

The purpose of normalizing and annealing is basically the same, but the cooling rate of normalizing is slightly faster than that of fire, so the structure of normalized steel is relatively fine, and the strength and hardness are higher than annealed steel.

Normalizing is mainly used for common structural parts. When the mechanical properties are not too high, it can be used as the final heat treatment. As a preliminary heat treatment, the cutting performance of low carbon steel or low alloy steel can be improved. Elimination of network infiltrated carbide in hypereutectoid steel improves the mechanical properties of the steel and prepares it for subsequent heat treatment.
